Omicron Chapter at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
MEET OUR NEW SISTERS
President's Message
Kathryn Anderson
Welcome to the Omicron Chapter of Alpha Omega Epsilon! My name is Kathryn Anderson, and it is with great honor that I introduce myself as the President of the Omicron Chapter for the 2022 term. Our organization is grounded in the pillars of friendship, leadership, and professionalism and we host many events throughout the semester to help our sisters grow in these areas (and many more!).
Our sisters study subjects ranging from engineering to computer sciences to biochemistry and even creative writing, and I personally am studying Nursing with certificates in Leadership and Global Health here at UW-Madison. When I started at this university in 2018, I was not sure where I would find a community that would encourage and challenge me to excel socially, academically, and professionally. I found this community and support in AΩE three years ago when I had the opportunity to meet some of the most motivated, intelligent, and welcoming womxn I have ever crossed paths with.
Since becoming a member of AΩE, I have met my closest friends and grown in sisterhood with many womxn studying STEM, my leadership and communication skills have expanded, and I have improved academically due to our support system of dedicated and hardworking sisters. The sisters of our organization are proud to empower all womxn and we regularly push and help one another to become the best versions of ourselves.
Please feel welcome to explore the rest of our website and reach out to our Chapter with any comments or questions you may have. If you are a potential new member, we look forward to meeting you during our season of recruitment! If you are an alumni member, welcome back and please reach out if you are in Madison – we would love to catch up!
In Friendship, Leadership, and Professionalism,
Kathryn Anderson (she/her)
President, Omicron Chapter of Alpha Omega Epsilon
